Ismaning, 29 November 2007 – 2007 began for PLAZAMEDIA with the production of the IHF Men’s Handball World Championship and is now ending with the equivalent women’s event, which will take place from 2 – 16 December in France.

The Munich-based company was commissioned by rights agency SPORTFIVE to produce the 92 matches of the Women’s World Championship. The complexity of this production is reflected in the number of staff who will be involved in the project at up to six parallel locations: 250 professionals from PLAZAMEDIA, comprising an international team from Germany, France and Belgium, will be deployed at eleven different sporting venues during the competition fortnight. The matches will be sophisticatedly presented with various camera standards: The preliminary matches will be captured with seven cameras, the main and final rounds with as many as nine or ten. The classic behind-the-goal cameras will be replaced by PylonCams from TV SKYLINE’s and PLAZAMEDIA’s Camera Moving Systems family. Also in the main and final rounds, sportscams will be used as hot heads.
