Ismaning, 30 August 2007 – PLAZAMEDIA, host broadcaster of the EnBW World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart, will pull out all the technical stops to produce this gymnastics highlight of the year. With up to 15 cameras and more than 60 personnel on site, Germany’s largest sports-TV producer is giving the tournament, including the qualifying rounds and opening ceremony on 1 September in the Porsche Arena, its customary high-quality treatment.
With some innovative camera positions and perspectives, PLAZAMEDIA promises a technically sophisticated production of the Gymnastics World Championships, with a particular highlight being the chip cameras on the high bar, parallel bars, asymmetric bars and rings. This will allow the fans watching at home to keep a close eye on the routines of Fabian Hambüchen and co. and to follow their every move close-up. In addition, two super slow-motion cameras will capture every muscle flex of the gymnasts. Ten further cameras in the hall and two ceiling cameras complete the technical setup at the event (where a total of 7km of cable have been laid) and guarantee that the audience can follow the judges’ decisions from all kinds of perspectives.
Over 70 countries will compete from 1–9 September in Stuttgart for medals and to qualify for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. PLAZAMEDIA will also be responsible for production of the qualifying rounds as well as a world feed, consisting of up to three individual feeds, for the eagerly awaited finals from the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Hall.
