Ismaning, 23 August 2007. PLAZAMEDIA is set to produce another major sporting event: On behalf of the organising committee STB-Event GmbH, PLAZAMEDIA will host-broadcast the 40th EnBW World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, to be held from 1 – 9 September in Stuttgart. With this important international contract, PLAZAMEDIA is further strengthening its market position as Germany’s largest sports-TV producer and full-service provider.

Already in recent months PLAZAMEDIA has regularly produced major international events. In January 2007, on behalf of Sportfive, the company produced the Handball World Championships as host broadcaster – the sporting highlight of the first half of the year. In 2006 PLAZAMEDIA was likewise host broadcaster of the Men’s European Handball Championships in Switzerland, the Table Tennis World Championships in Bremen and the Men’s Hockey World Cup in Germany. Moreover, at the FIFA Football World Cup Germany 2006™, the company provided all production services for all matches on behalf of Premiere, which included producing round the clock for Premiere’s 24-hour World Cup channel and creating mobile TV content on the World Cup for various German mobile operators. The production of the Gymnastics World Championships in September is an important sporting highlight for PLAZAMEDIA’s portfolio in the second half of the year.
