Ismaning, 13 June 2007 – PLAZAMEDIA is to produce an exclusive programme signal from the IAAF Golden League 2007 with its own technology for Premiere, Germany’s leading pay-TV operator. PLAZAMEDIA will be present at the international athletics championships in Oslo, Paris, Rome, Zurich, Brussels and Berlin from 15th June with a 1-camera SNG (Satellite News Gathering) operation, bringing viewers the atmosphere and excitement of the competition live.
The sports producer will provide the Premiere feed on the basis of the host broadcaster signal, which will be enhanced with additional presenting, live commentaries and interviews with athletes. Graphics will be added at the PLAZAMEDIA HQ in Ismaning, near Munich. The signal will be produced live for three hours per event. Premiere and PLAZAMEDIA have thus extended their collaboration again this year.
The production will be supported by experienced and well-known athletics experts who work for Premiere. Dieter Adler, one of the most experienced athletics commentators and winner of the German Athletics Federation Media Prize in 2006, will lend his professional commentary to the broadcast. Florian Schwarthoff, bronze medal winner at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and several times German Champion in the 110m hurdles, will analyse the athletes’ performances during and after the events. The programme will be anchored by Premiere sports presenter Sebastian Hellmann, who will report live from the stadiums.
