PLAZAMEDIA subsidiary MUC Media launches free-TV erotic channel “erotic chillout”
Channel Development division boosted

Ismaning, 29 August 2008 – MUC Media GmbH, a PLAZAMEDIA Group company, will begin broadcasting the "erotic chillout" channel on 15 September 2008. This is part of the parent company PLAZAMEDIA’s strategy to boost and expand its Channel Development division. "erotic chillout" is the first free-TV erotic channel in Germany and, with 24-hour programming, will initially be broadcast on the digital platform T-Home Entertain on Deutsche Telekom’s DSL broadband networks. The programming comprises various lifestyle, beauty and clip formats, as well as short "behind the scenes" documentaries, which give viewers an insight into the world of the erotic industry via interviews and backstage reports. The top-quality film formats from internationally renowned labels such as Vivid, Beate Uhse and Hustler feature many award-winning stars from the industry.

"With its subsidiaries CREATION CLUB, PLAZAMEDIA Austria, PLAZAMEDIA Swiss and MUC Media, the PLAZAMEDIA group is a leading full-service provider of technical and creative services. MUC Media’s purchase of the TV broadcasting license for "erotic chillout" is further expanding the service portfolio of our corporate group and thus strengthening the Channel Development division", explains Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of PLAZAMEDIA GmbH and MUC Media GmbH.

Michael Ortlepp, Executive Producer IPTV of Deutsche Telekom AG, adds: "With MUC Media’s erotic offering, we are once again able to offer our customers target-group-specific content."

In accordance with the German interstate treaty on the protection of minors in the media (JMStV), MUC Media GmbH as the operator will ensure that programming considered harmful to the development of children and young people cannot automatically be accessed. Thus material that is not considered suitable for under-16s will either require specific activation for viewing or will not be broadcast before 10:00 p.m. (voluntary self-monitoring for under 16s), and material which is generally not suitable for minors is only available after 8.00 p.m. and requires unlocking, or will only be shown after 11:00 p.m. (voluntary self-monitoring for under 18s).

On the IPTV platform T-Home Entertain, children can be protected against TV content which is not suitable for them. The user can select individual channels or different authorisation levels from the menu and authorise by age group. With Entertain’s protection settings, children can watch TV independently with age-appropriate, monitored content.

PLAZAMEDIA GmbH, an EM.Sport Media AG company, is one of the leading full-service providers for TV and new media and is also Germany’s largest producer of sports TV.
