Ismaning, 22. January 2009 – This year PLAZAMEDIA will once again handle production of the DLD Conference (Digital, Life, Design), to be held in Munich from 25 –27 January. As the DLD’s exclusive production, technology and sponsoring partner, Germany’s leading full-service provider for TV and new media will ensure a technically innovative production of Europe’s leading innovation forum from Hubert Burda Media at Munich’s Hypovereinsbank Forum. In addition, CREATION CLUB, a subsidiary of PLAZAMEDIA, will produce the trailers and ad clips for the individual panels.
PLAZAMEDIA already supported the DLD last year as its exclusive production partner. This year for the first time the company will be responsible for the entire moving-image output from the conference, from the overall setup right through to the video, lighting and sound production. The stage in the large atrium of the HVB Forum has been completely redesigned. PLAZAMEDIA will also use a total of eleven cameras, including numerous specialist ones, to capture impressive pictures from different perspectives, and will provide two ENG teams and a SteadyCam at the venue for exclusive interviews and backstage impressions from the event. PLAZAMEDIA’s New Media department will prepare all the panels for the Internet, which will be available from 25.01.2009 at www.dld.sevenload.com.

The DLD Conference celebrates its 5th anniversary this year with the theme “New Realities”. Some 800 participants are expected at the HVB Forum, including international entrepreneurs, high-calibre authors, designers, Nobel Laureates and other selected guests from the worlds of business, media and culture. The conference has again attracted top-class panellists, including Deutsche Telekom chief René Obermann, best-selling author Nassim Taleb, winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics Daniel Kahnemann, and YouTube developer Chad Hurley.
