Ismaning, 14 April 2009 – 15 April sees the launch of the “TV Studio Guldental”, the result of a collaboration between celebrity chef Johann Lafer and the PLAZAMEDIA group designed to facilitate new, innovative concepts in the genre of TV cookery shows.

“From a technical point of view, this TV kitchen is the most innovative cooking studio on the German TV scene, which makes it suitable for all formats imaginable – from cookery to talk shows, all the way through to events”, explains celebrity chef Johann Lafer.

Monitors, remote-controlled cameras and illuminated LED shelves in the recording studios provide for innovative TV pictures. The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art camera systems, and an integrated production control room delivers programmes even at short notice. The cutting-edge technology also allows the formats to be provided on a Web server via streaming or upload.

For events, the kitchen and lounge can additionally be adapted to the corporate design of the respective host companies at the touch of a button – ideal conditions for product presentations or home-shopping programmes. Seven high-resolution HDTV LCD screens on the studio set offer the option of integrating pre-produced sequences into a TV show or presentations into a corporate event.

The facilities are aimed above all at TV broadcasting and production companies, advertising agencies, tourism organisations or manufacturers from the home, food and lifestyle industries. Florian Nowosad, CEO of PLAZAMEDIA, says: “The advertising industry in particular lives on new ideas. PLAZAMEDIA is meeting this challenge by combining our experience of TV productions and digital media with the know-how of haute cuisine.”

PLAZAMEDIA was responsible for the planning and studio-building aspects of the project, as well as being a production partner for the upcoming studio productions. The design of the new TV kitchen was developed by PLAZAMEDIA’s subsidiary CREATION CLUB, while the production technology and innovative camera equipment are provided by PLAZAMEDIA partner TV Skyline. TV chef Johann Lafer is contributing his decades of experience in international haute cuisine to the joint project. He already owns the well-known cookery school "Table d'Or" in Guldental, on whose premises the TV studio is located.
