Ismaning, 12 April 2010 – PLAZAMEDIA will host-broadcast the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Bremen, Germany together with event organiser Spospom from 16-18 April.

At this sporting highlight, Germany’s largest producer of sports TV will perfectly showcase the senior tournament with a total of six cameras in 16:9 and SD. With a flexible crane camera and a polecam (ultra-light crane), PLAZAMEDIA will be able to get right up close to the performers and so is sure to produce emotive pictures from the event. As well as the production, which will involve a crew of 20, PLAZAMEDIA will also handle all unilateral services for the local TV broadcasters and for the TV productions of all 16 rights holders of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union), including broadcasters from Bulgaria, Spain, Finland, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Russia, Greece and Switzerland. In Germany the event will be covered by ARD and ZDF.

The European Championships will attract the world elite from the sport of rhythmic gymnastics. Over 350 female gymnasts from 36 nations are expected at the Bremen Arena, including many from Germany. The competition itself is staged over three days, with contestants performing in a variety of disciplines.
