Ismaning, 27 October 2008 – PLAZAMEDIA GmbH has added an important new module to the features of its digital service platform eCenter.

As of now, the eCenter includes a video-on-demand (VoD) platform, which allows eCenter customers to make the content-on-demand stored in the archive available externally. The content is stored, archived and indexed on the new VoD platform.

"With this tool, we will enable our customers in future to adapt a "white label" platform to their needs so they don’t have to program their own. So they can profitably distribute their content without this extra overhead. This lowers the threshold for profitable business models for smaller customers", explains Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of PLAZAMEDIA.

With its shared infrastructure for recording, post-production, archiving, broadcasting and studio, the digital service platform eCenter allows end-to-end file-based, live-capable and highly-efficient production processing. At its heart is the central archive, through which PLAZAMEDIA can offer a more innovative service spectrum in the realm of material storage and distribution. With the new video portal, PLAZAMEDIA has added another key service and offers customers the maximum economic benefit.
