PLAZAMEDIA produces MotoGP for DSF

Ismaning, 8 April 2009 – PLAZAMEDIA will produce the world’s premier motorcycle racing series MotoGP for DSF (Deutsches Sportfernsehen). The contract includes all the European races plus the opening event in the desert emirate of Qatar.

The first unilateral production will feature the MotoGP season-opener on the weekend of  10-12 April. PLAZAMEDIA will be on the spot for all productions with broadcasting equipment and personnel furthermore providing several cameras for interviews. Besides the races, PLAZAMEDIA will produce the training and qualifying for DSF. Up to 1,500 minutes per race weekend will be covered live – thereof 25 hours for the tv audience and DSF online plattform.

Following the kick-off in Qatar, the first European race will take place in Jerez/ Spain in May. A total of eleven races in the series will be held in Europe. As the exclusive TV partner of the MotoGP in Germany, DSF has secured the rights for three years until 2011.
